Foreign currency issue

processing asterisk with foreign currency base. (xaf)
a2billing.conf file has been set accordingly.
Everything is ok except credit announcement.
ex: 1 XAF = 0.00182 USD
customer filled with 5000 xaf
annouce say 2 747 252, 74 credits ! (5000 / 0,00182)
instead of just 5000 credit.
Timeout is OK

I dont think this is a bug, what is going on I believe is that you have to fill the customers card with DOLLARS. Once you do that, the system uses the rates.inc to figure out what the equivalent is in your currency, at least this is how it was with previous version, I am not sure how this is being done now.

there is also a parameter to modify the base currency.

Filling the customer cards in dollars gives good results indeed.
But if you want to sell for instance prepaid card in a specific country, the customer should not be affected by currency variations.
So waht I did was:
1

This is little tricky!! If you just want to play the credit of exact amount for your currency [not with rate fraction].

1. Leave the base currency "usd" [better because worldwide] in a2billing.conf
2. set usd rate value 1.000 and set also your currency [that you want to play to user] value to 1.000
3. create a card with your currency that you've set value 1.000

Now: If you give "credit" 5000, it will play to user 5000 [with your currency]

Note: Dont follow this method, if you plan to give user online purchasing of credit and to announce in different currency.

dont forget that after a change of the base currency you have to run the cront to
update the database according to this new base.

Just drop messages here, if you need any help about this a2b. there are many other tricks that can be set also.

Another point: this is not a proposal, if you want to do "calling card" for your country, this is good choice to follow :roll:
