Hi all.

I'm using a2b to testing.

In my asterisk console ("asterisk -r command, verbose 4, debug 4) when a2b is up, every 30 sec I see this Warning on console:

-- Remote UNIX connection
-- Remote UNIX connection disconnected
-- Remote UNIX connection
-- Remote UNIX connection disconnected
-- Remote UNIX connection
-- Remote UNIX connection disconnected
-- Remote UNIX connection

It is a little problem, but I would like to know why...

Have you got some ideas about this?

Thaks in advanced.
Bye.

This happens when someone / something else logs into Asterisk.

Trixbox and similar programs do that continuously cause it connects to asterisk on a regular basis in order to gather some information needed to create the status page.

Hi

I know what you mean with the FreePBX status page, and it is deeply annoying, but the output from that is slightly different, as below: -

Verbosity is at least 12
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager.conf': Found
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager_additional.conf': Found
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager_custom.conf': Found
== Manager 'admin' logged on from 127.0.0.1
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager.conf': Found
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager_additional.conf': Found
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager_custom.conf': Found
== Manager 'admin' logged on from 127.0.0.1
== Manager 'admin' logged off from 127.0.0.1
== Manager 'admin' logged off from 127.0.0.1
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager.conf': Found
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager_additional.conf': Found
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager_custom.conf': Found
== Manager 'admin' logged on from 127.0.0.1
== Manager 'admin' logged off from 127.0.0.1

I think that's just your verbosity level influencing the output there. A2B certainly doesn't log into the AMI on a regular basis, only when there's a callback to be initiated.

Intersting. But in any case, as jroper said, it is very annoying and I just that is resource hungry. If the log files are enabled, with is going to lead to ginormous logfiles.
