Hi all

I have setup a2billing and I have two devices registered to asterisk. One is Welltech VOIP phone another is softphone. I have created DIDs as follows, 0601000001 points to phone A and 0601000002 points to phone B. I can use the phones to call each other using the above DIDs.

My problem is when phone A calls Phone B, Phone B displays WEBUI LOGIN of phone A insteady of the DID. I want my phone to display DIDs of the calling part so that the called part can just call back using the phone history.

Any advice is appreciated. :D

Check the Caller ID field in your SIP friend(s). If you want it to be whatever your softphone, PBX, or phone passes as Caller ID, change the "CallerID" field to %callingnumber%" or, you can set it manually to whatever you want to be displayed on outbound calls, but this will override any CID info the device (softphone, ATA, Phone) assigned to that SIP account sends out.

Secondly, any lines in trunk settings or fields in softphones that are labeled "fromuser" will change the outbound caller ID to that value if set. Usually you just need username and authorization username to match your SIP user ID on a softphone. Any other fields might mess with your caller ID.

In any event, A2B populates the "CallerID" field in its SIP friends with the SIP user ID, thereby passing that as the CID. Try my suggestions above, let me know if they don't work for you as there could be some other changes that need to be made in the main AGI-conf file to allow for full caller ID control without compromising the proper operation of your A2B system.

Hope this helps.
