Post subject:  A2billing charge for not in service message
Hey Guys I have two problems I installed a2billing 2 on latest release of PIAF running asterisk 10.
1. A2billing charges for message played by operator (this number is not in service) but trunk provider does not.
2. I tried to add rates manually for testing I successfully add the UK used the rate card simulator it worked make calls to the UK worked fine. I tried to add USA when I tried the simulator no match found. Can you advice.

Hi Leonard

1 - Are you doing SIP calls in a2billing? (rather than calling card). If so you likely have answer_call = yes in the agi-conf you are using, and it should be no.

2 - If the simulator is not working you must have the rates in the rate card in the wrong format?

Hi

Please don't double post across multiple forums.

Your carrier is answering the call, and playing the "not in service" message. A2Billing starts charging from the moment the call is answered, so ask your carrier not to answer the call, or change carriers to one more suitable for wholesale services.

Have you added your rate card to the callplan?

I have had this same issue, then realized i changed the server date and time which made the rate card start time in the future lol
