Hi,
I am trying to figure out how to have a2billing rotate the trunk. I have 4 gateway I have on failover to the other ones the problem that I am facing the first gateway is the one being access all the time when ever it is free it is terminating. what I would like either they terminate to a gateway at radom or in sequence. example if gateway 1 terminate a call the next time another gateway would terminate the call and so on. is it possible in a2billing.

thanks

You could try using a (local) DNS name for the trunk host and see if Asterisk will do round robin for resolving the IP. This would only work if Asterisk resolved the host name each time (not sure it does) and all other trunk details were the same.

Ideally you probably want to use something like OpenSIPS (running on the same server?) to do the load balance. Asterisk would send the call to OpenSIPS, and that would send it out to one of the trunks.

I'm not sure if maybe PJSip in Asterisk 12 will provide more flexibility to do this sort of stuff.

Joe - have you started looking at Asterisk 12/PJSip yet and if it will work with A2Billing?

Thanks, Matt
