 Post subject: a2billing not dialing out.

Hi guys how are you.
i am new to a2billing.
my Free pbx trunk is working i can call out and then i have used the same trunk name in the a2billing as well.
Problem:
"Destination number is not available"

simulator is working.
when i call to access number it takes me to a2billing and it ask me for the PIN.
it reads out the credit and ask for the number.
then it tells me how many minuets for this call. then it gives the message


i have been trying different ways since last 3 days and been searching here and other sources but i am still stuck..
my provider told me not to use sip trunk of pbx and just use IP in a2billing trunk.
I have used IP as well but didnt work.

Is any1 here to help me please.

I don't suppose there are spaces in the name of the trunk in FreePBX? You can't have spaces in a2billing.

Other than that it should work OK if you put the name of the trunk in FreePBX into the IP box in A2Billing.

If it still doesn't work you'd need to check the Asterisk debug.

With trunk name it worked.
I was using IP address.
Call is connecting via calling card to other country but I m running into next problem.
Quality of the call is bad. I can't even hear the voice and on the other side it's the same
As well.
Via freepbx if I call local number result is fine
But internationally via a2billing its too bad.
Is there anyway I can improve voice quality.

Call quality issues are usually a function of:

1. Carrier
2. Bandwidth
3. Processor / memory load on the server.

3 is unlikely in your case as this would affect local calls.
2 is less likely, as again, local calls would be affected, but possible.
1 is the most likely issue.

I am facing exactly same issue. There is no space in name of freepbx trunk. For me its more weird. Even for the local number, first call is successfull. Next time, I am getting the same error message. And for international call, I could not make any successful call.

I can see the call went to my provider. But it seems a2billing or freepbx or asterisk itself added some post-fix after the dialed number. I cant understand where are those post fix is coming from ?

I managed to resolve the problem.
Had to set the Asterisk version from 1_4 to 1_6
