Hi there,

I am testing the latest version, upgraded (i.e not fresh).
Although I have changed all email addresses and templates (since previous versions) there seems to be a problem when I reply to a customer ticket from the admin interface: The email reaches the customer as being sent from Call-Labs <[email protected]>.

ALSO:
If I create a NEW ticket from the admin interface, the email reaches the customer from the correct email address (as specified in the template) so no problem with the email address here HOWEVER the customer gets the email like this:

-----
Dear $firstname$ $lastname$,
Please find below the details of your support ticket.
..
(the rest of the ticket shows the variables correct)

-----

Any ideas?

Thank you
N

You probably missed changing modify_ticket variable in Mail Template which is on page two. I just changed new_ticket and modify_ticket and it works without call-labs info.

I think call-labs was a problem in version 1.4.x but it seems to be fine at least with filing a ticket from customer side or admin side.

You are very right! However the other problem with the variables ($firstname$ $lastname$) is still a problem.
It works if I substitute those with the $ticket_owner$ however it looks bad to greet the customer with something like this:

Dear 1234556789 (John Smith), etc

Any ideas how to fix this?

PS
I also found another issue with this particular template however I will be posting a separate post.
(When admin is updating/modifying a ticket, the email sent to the customer contains the initial ticket text and not the latest update given by the admin! Maybe I am doing somthing wrong. Can you test?)

Thank you,
N

I don't think v1.4x does the

. Does it? I haven't seen it. I haven't had a chance to check it on v1.6x yet. If that is the case as you say then you have to tamper the php file I guess. I shall get to it when I feel comfortable that upgrading my database doesn't break my production server. Something I probably never feel comfortable :)

No I didn't have problems with 1.4
I am using the latest version.
The 'Dear 1234556789 (John Smith)', gets 'printed' by using the variable text 'Dear $ticket_owner$,' in the Modify Support Ticket' mail template.
This is the default mail template and all I am trying to do is to change it to 'Dear $firstname$ $lastname$,' but it doesn't work!

According to the mail templates page the following variables are (should be) working on all templates:
>>
Tags used in all emails:
$email$: email of the customer
$firstname$: firstname of the customer
$lastname$: lastname of the customer
$credit$: credit of the customer in the system currency
$creditcurrency$: credit of the customer in the own currency
$currency$: currency of the customer
$cardnumber$: card number of the customer
$password$: password of the customer
$login$: login of the customer
$credit_notification$: credit notification of the customer
$base_currency$: base currency of system
