Post subject:  Meaning of options given in Import rate sheet

Hi Guys,

First of all congrats on the great software and effort that's put in. I just finished getting myself familiarized with 1.6 and last night when I checked the a2billing website I learned that the new version 1.7 is out :shock: it’s great that the software is being developed and enhanced at such a great speed but we need to digest the previous versions, also we need documentation for the available work.

Anyway, I am trying to import complex rate sheets through the 1.6 version, and I need to know the meaning of all the available options. As a reference I am attaching a snapshot of import rate sheet interface, please send me the appropriate documentation so that I can achieve this functionality :D :D . Thanks

best regards,

The way you want to import them and the options are up to you
What I usually do is add to the manual field: buyrate, buyrate min duration, sell rate min duration

Then I import in the following format:

1212;New York City;0.02;0.0035;6;60

1212=area code/country code
New York City=destination
0.02=sell rate
0.0035=buyrate
6=buyrate minimum duration in seconds
60=sellrate minimum duration in seconds

Again you may want to customize this to fit your needs. The CSV example provided at the bottom helps you out once you understand the concept and how to do this
Lastly, if you are creating the file with excel, you'll need to edit the CSV file and do a find/replace with notepad (and if it's a big file, ms word will do the job quicker without freezing the computer)
Find: ,
Replace with: ;

Also, a little off topic, you may need to go to the system settings, global list, and under "webui" look for my_max_file_size_import. Increase the number, so that in case your CSV file is more than 1000 kb, you won't have an issue importing.
Good luck!
