Post subject: | Best way to route a DID to calling card? |
Hi, If another asterisk PBX is registered to my a2billing system, how could I send DIDs to it and allow the asterisk PBX on the other end to properly route each DID? I am playing around with DID forwarding but got nowhere. I know how to route DIDs to FreePBX extensions, to external IP addresses and to external phone numbers, but cannot seem to route the call to wherever the account is registered to. If the person on the other end has a dynamic IP, I cannot use DID destination to route the calls directly to an IP address. I also tried not entering anything for DID destination, hoping that the DID would send the call to whatever IP is registered. Unfortunately that is not the case and I hope that this can work with dynamic IPs. Thank you |

A valid A2Billing destination may be:- IAX2/A2B-Account-number/DID or sip/A2B-Account-number if you are using realtime, make sure you have got rtcachefriends set to yes. Joe |

to add a funky way is to route DID back to the system via local trunk and back to A2Billing if you want the did charged for incoming minutes. or simply route did to a fake DID number and assign the destination (charging per minute) as second priority. I am still try to sort out my DID problem. I wil start from scratch. May this could be a "How to" in the end for other users. I got a number (DID or DDI) from DIDX. I am routing this DID via SIP URI to my Asterisk (not an A2billing Asterisk) I can catch the number well. This means the number is working. I am routing the DID to my A2billing server from the DIDx menu. A2billing settings: 1. Inbound DID > Group I set here a new group "DIDx" or test what ever. 2. Add/Search Here I add my new DID 441234567, as country UK cause its a number from UK 3. Destination (here is my fault) We need the destination, cause somebody wants to catch the call. All my a2billing users are IAX user, cause I like IAX (IAX is my friend, specialy behind a NAT router) Account number is clear DID > choose from the popup, the DID you wish to give your a2billing user Voipcall yes Destination for me it´s not clear Quote: Jproper wrote IAX2/A2B-Account-number/DID I did this: IAX2/accountnumber/441234567 <------ cause this is my DID After this I made a reload in my Asterisk CLI. When calling my new number 00441234567 from my mobile, I am getting this output from my CLI. Quote: chan_sip.c:14847 handle_request_invite: Call from '' to extension '441234567' rejected because extension not found. My IAX extension is registered and online. Help is almost welcome Thx. Quote: I did this: IAX2/accountnumber/441234567 <------ cause this is my DID This should be IAX2/accountnumber. you can only do the above if the IAX2 account is a client that will accept incoming DID's set as 441234567. say like another PBX server. in which case you will see in the PBX CLI incoming call set to DID 441234567 then route it as you like. But if IAX2 account is using an end client like zoipher phone, then it should be simply IAX2/accountnumber. Rgds Eamonn http://www.eatelco.com http://www.eatelcommunity.com |

If I am dialing (441234567) the DID from an internal client its working proper. From outside its not working. The sip URI is coming in this format: 441234567@myIpadress Cheers Skiller |
