I see on the forum where DeadAGI is supposed to be used, but for the longest time I started using AGI when Asterisk 1.6 was released. I haven't noticed any problems.

My understanding was that Asterisk allows DeadAgi to run after the channel is hungup to allow agi scripts to complete without throwing channels errors. This funtionality is now in AGI in asterisk 1.6. to my understanding.

Can anyone give the reason why DeadAgi is still being used.
