Hello all,

I have updated (replaced) the file "currencies_update_yahoo.php" to the latest version 1.7.1 from the "old" 1.7.0
but now i got an error message : "Our base currency seems to be worthless. Currency update ABORTED".

My base currency is set to EUR and didn't had any problems until now with the currency update cronjob.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong ?? Are there any other files related that I need to update also ??

Hi

With an installation of 1.7.1 installed from the SVN - 1-current repository, this works perfectly for me, and was fixed in 1.7.1.

Yahoo changed something!

Hello Joe and everyone else here,

I've just downloaded latest "currencies_update_yahoo.php" from SVN and still no luck.

The same message appears : "Our base_currency seems to be worthless. Currency update ABORTED".

My question is if there are other files related and need to be updated beyond "currencies_update_yahoo.php".

It's not working for me the latest. From the relative log currency update was working 6 days ago with the old file.

Assuming you are running version 1.7.1, then this should work. If it doesn't, there is something amiss with your installation.

Without changes anything, now it is working fine. I think yahoo provides currency conversion service on IP based authentication, if the same IP tries to update several times then yahoo may blocks (or declined request from ) that IP for some duration.

As you can see my logs, that some times it successfully update but sometimes not.
