Hi folks,
Recently, I made two installs of:
Asterisk 1.8.7.1 + FreePBX 2.9 + A2Billing 2.9.4 (Cuprum)
Asterisk 1.8.7.1 + A2Billing 2.9.4 (Cuprum)
With
FreePBX +
A2Billing, everything went smooth and setting up trunks and the DID was easy. However, I was adding my DID in "Inbound routes" in
FreePBX (extension to a2billing.php) and when I called my DID, sometimes it asked for PIN and at times it was saying "the number is not in service." Despite those, it worked and I was able to make calls.
Later, I realized that,
A2Billing had "Inbound DID" section, so I decided to install
Asterisk and
A2Billing only, as there was no need for
FreePBX if
A2Billing could add trunks and DIDs. Unfortunately, I ended up with a successful
A2Billing install but am facing DID problems. In
FreePBX, I didn't have to setup destination for every card (customer), but in A2Billing, I've to assign every customer a DID. Even after setting up DID, whenever I call it, I hear the beep and it eventually hangs up.
What I wanted to know is that, is it possible to have a working calling card/pinless system
WITHOUT FreePBX? After searching the web for days, I didn't find any install guide that didn't use
FreePBX, and if you can, please, can you provide me some guides on how to setup DID for calling card in
A2Billing 1.9.4 that works like in
FreePBX (no need for destinations) for all customers? Any help is appreciated
P.S.: Guides I followed:
For
Asterisk +
FreePBX +
A2Billing: goo.gl/Tf6B8 => Worked
For
Asterisk +
A2Billing: goo.gl/0hNlg => I couldn't make it work
