Hello,
I'm running v. 2.0.8, working great in full production ;)

Scenario: I wanted to setup a function, where when I have a call with the CID. 17866666666, or as 7866666666, coming to my switch, the call wil be routed to a specific trunk, in absolute priority above the standard rate.

So, I have read the Outbound CID documentation, and then I have created a CID Groups, as, i.e. "problematic", then, I have add the 2 CID formats, into that CID group. Then, I went to rates, and I created the rate, and I associatd to the referred rate card, as usually. BUT in addition of that, i scroll down to the CIDGroup, and I have selected the Problematic group which I have created earlier.

But, it's not working, incoming calls with that CID is not selecting the rate which i creat here, and it's doing the standard generic rate, without taking in reference the callee CID.

I'm misunderstanding something, or it's not working as I understood??

Please advice?!

Hello Ubunter,

If I correctly understood what you need to have (certain customers to have higher rates) and what you actually did, I am not sure you are on the right path.

You need to distinguish between the incoming CID and the outgoing CID.

Regards.

Not exxactly, Swift, but as I may understand, this function could also do that.. descriminate a scpecific CallerID of the incoming call to be routed into a specific rate... my focuse here is just to turn the call to certain trunk, in discrimination with the standard rate in the same rate card.

Sur, we're not talking about outbound CID, no relation here with outbound...

Hello ,

Well actually there is more than one way to achieve what you need (not necessary that i have tried that)

1) you can work at the Asterisk dialplan level and detect the callerid and force a certain rate set to be used through the use of agiconfic

2) Define the required CID under the "CALLERID PREFIX " in the RateCard of A2B

Plz let me know if you need more elaboration ,, but i will need you to tell me more about the set up that you have (dialplan ,, ratecard, ..etc)

Yah, thank you, i have sow that, but I forgot it and directly went to create a specific rate, so, the correct is a full rate card... great, even, so it's to set a specific rate for a specific route under a calling prefix, that's much better...
Thank you for this explanation and help, Swift, Chears ;)
