Hi Guys,

I am trying to launch a calling card solution in Canada, and i am facing a small but import issue and need help to resolve it.
Basically i want to have one retail A to Z rate sheet for customers, now i have the rate sheet entries in the following format
011-Countrycode-AreaCode -Number like 01144207XXXX .. for a UK number.

For Canada i want the users to be able to dial without the country code, meaning for a calgary number the user should be able to dial with or without 1 prefix like 403XXXXX or 1403XXXX. I am a little confused as to how i can achieve this.

So can anyone please tell me whats the best way of achieving this without having to modify any code. I am sure its a pretty straight forward thing and a matter of a configuration change.

best regards,
Zeeshan Sajid.

Hi

Don't remove the prefix in the call plan, have rate tables for all your different options, and send them through to a trunk that either adds or removes prefixes as necessary.

Alternatively, adjust the canadian numbers to full international format (11 Digits) in the dialplan, before sending it into A2Billing, and do remove the international prefix in the call plan.

This only works where there is a single leading zero for national calls.
