I will try the above value's but let's say there is a scenario:
A sip user "A" can log from any IP and can use any customer ID, now how come we know which customer ID this particular sip user will use! So does not this value sip/a2b-account-number make a static look and feel or am I having some miss-understanding.

Regards

Hi

Your SIP user registers their phone to Asterisk using the credentials you create in A2Billing. The matter of SIP registration means that Asterisk knows the current IP of your SIP user.

Hi,

Unable to establish call, I changed the value from "SIP/[email protected]:45438" to SIP/2712662948/92102 (sip/a2b-account-number/did), DID & SIP user both are named as "92102".I entered the callee number but again & again I hear the sound "Please enter the number you wish to call".
A part from Asterisk log;
WARNING[10769] app_dial.c: Unable to create channel of type 'SIP' (cause 20 - Unknown)
VERBOSE[10769] app_dial.c: == Everyone is busy/congested at this time (1:0/0/1)
DEBUG[10769] app_dial.c: Exiting with DIALSTATUS=CHANUNAVAIL.

Hi,
Please verify the following understanding related to a2billing Inbound DID working;
The customer ID and its password generated by the a2billing will be used in the sip phone to get user registerd with asterisk. This information ( customer ID and its password etcetra) becomes part of 'sip.conf' and we don't need to make any manual changes in the 'sip.conf'.

Inbound DID (our phone number) is also configured in the a2billing UI and will be used as the user contact number. Anyother user will dial this particular number and get connected. Job done...

Now, if the above is correct then it means I have to use value sip/a2b-account-number in destination field,this looks like a static behaviour. What if I want that user can enter any customer ID/card number through sip phone & we don't bound that this customer ID/card number is for this particular DID. Any corrections or hints?

Regards.

Hi

I for one don't understand your question, so I have not commented for that reason.

Give us your desired step by step call-flow.

Hi,

All right, let me rephrase it. I want to achieve a calling card behaviour.

I have given a DID to my user. User purchase a calling card/customer id. Makes a call, if card finishes, purchase another calling card, so on and so forth.

Now, How can I achieve the above?.

Due to value sip/a2b-account-number in Destination field, I think my present configuration does not support the above scenario.

Assumption:
account number, customer Id and calling card are similar concepts.

Regards

Hi

Is the following correct?

You want to run a calling card service.

People access the calling card service by calling an access number from their landline or cellphone.

You want the system to prompt for a PIN every time the user calls.

Hi,
Before I answer to your question, let me ask another thing

Right now I am able to establish DID based calls, for this I created;
a customer e.g 1138679040, 2712662948 etc
a DID e.g 92101
Destination settings are e.g for DID 92101 Destination is SIP/1138679040

Due to configuration in destination field the DID 92101 is always going to use card number 1138679040, what if call minutes in 1138679040 are finished, balance is reached to zero and user of DID 92101 has purchased another calling card that has id 2712662948.

Now, do we need to reconfigure the destination field ? Do we need to change it from "SIP/1138679040" to "SIP/2712662948"

Regards

He would not do that, he should top up his account either via Paypal or using a voucher you have sold him. His other credentials should not change.

Hi,

Done with the voucher stuff. Now, another old problem is in the sound, I was keeping it at low priority. When I dial a number the sound I hear is "You have ??? dollars". ?: does not read the amount. I mean it should be like "You have 10 dollars" but I just hear "You have (pause/silence) dollars".

I have checked with ENT doctor, my ears are working fine :), so what is the mistake I have made with sound installation.Any Hints?

For those who want to know how to recharge their account using vouchers, please follow the following links;
http://www.asterisk2billing.org/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/wiki/1-3-ListVoucher
http://forum.asterisk2billing.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6257

you can also enable IVR to get account information by dialling a number, procedure is similar as told in the link above.

Regards.
