 Post subject: Fail over rate card

hi,

is there a possibility to do rate card fail over, instead of trunk fail over?
if we do trunk fail over we have different Buy rates for different trunks/providers, and the billing is not correct.

Answer is simply no. It's the trunk that is failing not the rate card.

You are right though about the billing if the rate on the failed-over trunk is significantly higher. No one wants to be surprised at being billed at a higher rate. There should be an option to set a margin on the rate in the event of a fail over.

Some providers have in their "gold" CSV file rates for say $10 per minute (look closely). In the "standard" and "silver" plans, the same dial codes may exist but at much lower rates. Imagine offering your customer 0.13 and the call fails over up to the gold plan if the dial code matches.

I think the topic has been up many times, currently no solution.
