When making a call, the system tells me the allowed time for the call, but each time the system adds 30 seconds to the allowed time and this produces negative credits with prepaid type billing. How can I regulate this additional time?
best regards,
njei

The asterisk2billing considers only the time from the moment your provider reports that the called number answer to hangup.

I've encountered providers which reports imediately that the person answer, even if they don't, and they don't send you signals using SIP (busy, etc...) but they play you tones through the RTP stream.

So if the destination is busy, they will not charge you but when you call they report that the destination picked up the phone, they will play you the busy tone and hangup. So you'll end up with a 30s or so call that was reported as answered by the provider but they didn't charge for it. Even when the destination answers, you'll end up with extra connection/ringing time falsely reported by the provdider as talking time.

If this is also your case, I don't know of any solution. I personaly end-up not billing for the first 60 seconds or so if I use any of those providers.

Hi,
I had the same problem as stanlo when tested with my own system and I did not answer before calling the cmd Dial.
The system still let the call go for another 30 secs. Please post the solution if there is any.

I have exactly the same problem.
I had this problem on manually installed RedHat+a2billing and on the preinstalled Asterisk_at_Home2.7-2.8 systems.
It's strange that only few people report about this problem, dose it mean most people have solved it?
