Hey guys....Can't seem to track down why it can't connect when i lauch the call-back deamon

I get this when I launch it:
Couldn't open connection: Access denied for user 'a2billinguser'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

I know for a fact that the a2blling username and password work for a2billing db...
I've also applied a2billinguser "grant" assess to a2billing DB

Any ideas or leads?

Its a manager connection setting.

I reckon that if you open callback in the GUI, and look at "show server, you will discover that the manager connection parameters are set to myasterisk and mycode.

Change them to match your A2Billing manager connection.

Thanks for your response....But I had already changed those setting in the GUI when I made my own manger.conf settings. Any other ideas....Thanks tho??

Also when does the actual manger session logon?? If i do a "manager show connected" the only manager logged on is "admin" which is the account i'm actaully running this command as.
Does the manger login once the call back deamon runs successfuly?

Sorry to disagree with you Joe, but that looks very much like a MySQL error rather than a AMI error.

Hi

On re reading you may be right. I caught with the caught out with a2billinguser, that is the manager connection name that Trixbox always used, which of course, causes problems with Callback, cos everyone forgets to change the manager credentials in the callback section.

I was able to get it going by manually setting my DB setting in the a2billing-callback-daemon script its self... Even though it was reading the a2billing.conf file some syntax might be wrong....

$dbh ||= DBI->connect("dbi:mysql:a2billing:localhost", "a2billinguser", "mypasssword");

Well in that case, the source of your problem is found. Your password is too strong. Yep. If probably include non alphanumeric characters and even spaces. In that case, change back the a2billing callback-daemon script to its original version, and then, use double-quote around your database password.

You should be find after that.

Cheers.
