Okay, after much work around, searching, etc. I have figured out the workaround steps necessary to make A2Billing properly Bill for incoming calls to DIDS!

I did not see this anywhere else posted, so if im a bit excited its because this is a major milestone for me. I would be happy to provide this info to anyone who wants to know it. Im going to try and get some screenshots together and maybe a video to help out!

Using this method I am also able to bill different DIDs within a customers account at different rates so if you get DIDs from diffrenet areas, providers, etc, you can still bill appropriately.

Might be the same, but documented differently. My needs necessitated the following:

One customer may have DIDs from several carriers (we aggregate 20+) and those areas/carriers have different per minute and per month rates that I need to charge. For example 1208664XXXX is sold at .0119/min but 1208888XXXX is sold at .0149/min.

Termination billing works obviously, but inbound billing did not.

Here are my steps:

Create a trunk 1st:
Label= Customer account number (Card Number)
Tech= SIP
ID = Customer account number (Card Number)

Create a unique ratecard for the client
Tarrifname=Customer account number (Card Number)
Trunk= Trunk that was created based on Customer account number (Card Number)
Each of your customers DIDs that need origination billing will now be created under this ratecard

Create your destinations (assumes your DID has been uploaded/created)
Destination= DID to be billed for origination
Card= Customer account number (Card Number)
DID= DID in destination field
Activated= Yes
VoIP call= NO

After I did all thsi and made sure that my destination was in the ratecard based on the clients Customer account number (Card Number) at teh rates I wanted, I started making test calls and voila. it billed incoming. The other nice thing it did was breakout the DIDs on the invoicing so you could see minutes used per DID since they are now each a separate "destination" on a ratecard.

I don't think you'll break anything. Manchu's method seems slightly easier in that it involves creating just one new trunk shared by all DIDs. Your method looks like it may leak the DID owner's cardnumber in CDRs; you should protect the cardnumber as you would the PIN for your ATM card.

We use the cardnumber as their account number only. Ill have to look at the other method and see if I can make that work out. I dont see why it wouldnt, I was just happy to get something working.

Okay, so I just have one trunk with %cardnumber% as the provider IP. Still works great. Im now toying with the ratecard to see if I can streamline this process.

Heres something odd. I tried plugging in the same setting I have on my X-Lite phone into a PAP2NA and it wont ring. I can make calls through it, but thats it. Just a busy tone when I try calling the DID.
