I have a provider that rate his calls this way:

Sun-Thu from 7:00 to 19:00 - Hi rate
Friday from 7:00 to 13:00 - Hi rate

Sun-Thu from 19:00 to 7:00 - Low rate
Fri from 13:00 to Sun 7:00 - Low rate

What's the best way to configure rates for this provider? should I open rate for each day hi and low or is there an easier way to do that?

Thanks in advance.

A2Billing cannot do what you need. At least not out of the box. If you are willing to write some cron jobs that will modify your rate on a specific and change them back on another specific time, than go right ahead. That will be an extremely ugly thing to do that I would not recommend though.

Thank you for your answer, but I don't understand why it wouldn't work the hard way? Can't I can open rate for Sunday hi rate and another rate for Sunday low rate, this time I will cover all week, it's messy but looks fine, at least to me. Am I missing something here?

Yes you can do this with A2B but you'll need to enter 13 (I think, I may have miscounted) rates, each specifying just one weekly time period.

Thank you stavros, it is indeed lots of configuration and more than that, I have 7 dial zones for the same carrier...

Anyway, if there in no simple way to do this I will configure it manually and export the first set to a file an import it seven different times, I guess this is the only option I have.

Thanks again for both answers.

You've got start-date (actually date+time) and stop-date that could be used. But you do run into quite a problem with that. You could setup some CRON job that would make those modifications on that field each day I guess. Sounds like a lot of work and hastle. Additionally ... you may need to give some consideration to how the billing is done. Like if a call begins in one time frame and ends in another ... how is the billing done?

Shall I repeat my cut-line?

But for what the OP is trying to achieve that would be a management nightmare. In this instance start time and stop time are much better suited, as they are automatically applied on a weekly cycle.

Please do. Does v200 support rates that are active in multiple time slots each week, rather than just the single time slot per rate that v1.3/v1.4 support?

Almost. The new "time-periods" system in v200 supports arbitrary number of periods groupped together under one code-name. Then, it is a matter of an one-liner function (not put yet in rates) to constraint any functionality to a code-named period.

That`s why I said that it was not possible. Unless Eyal is using v200 which is most likely not the case.
