Hey has anyone done 1.4 in VMware? If not, is there interest in it? Was thinking it might be one of the good ways to play with things in a test environment.

Hi,

Although I see that this post is a couple of years ago I am working trying this out on VMware today and will post how it works out !

I'm in the process of migrating a2billing version 1.2.3 to a VPS using OpenVZ. I don't see much issues on the A2billing side but compiling asterisk with Zaptel is an issue if you don't have access to the hardware node. VM is OK if you are using it purely for VOIP.

There is no difference in the installation process for A2billing on VPS but for compiling Asterisk I used this link for guidance http://wiki.openvz.org/Asterisk_from_source.
