Hi All,

We need some help on translating the A2Billing project.
We are at the verge of releasing a new stable version for A2Billing and with your help we would like to offer a better internationalization for our opensource software.

According to the languages you can work on, please download the PO file from our repository :
http://www.asterisk2billing.org/cgi-bin ... _ui_locale

Once you have updated and completed the PO file,
test the file by trying to generate the MO file :
> msgfmt messages.po
this will generate a mo file.

Then you can simply resend it to us in order to be included in the sources.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Cheers,
/Areski

Areski,

I will be glad to do the translation.

I have the following question, I am using a2billing 1.3.4 and I see the Customer UI is partially translated but i have problems with spanish special characters "ñ, á,é,í,ó,ú,ü" not showing correctly. How shoud i treat these characters when translating?

Best Regards,

IAZS

just open the PO file into your editor and write those characters into the charset you use.

According to the gettext documentation, translation files (.po ones) should rather all be in utf-8.

After that, it is a matter of setting the locales right in php, to get the web interface to display right. PHP, internally, knows how to read the .mo files and make the html. Again, if you need non-latin characters, you'd better use utf-8 rather than the iso8859-x charsets. The reason is that a utf-8 page will allow all characters, and also input right the forms from customers.

Hi

To make this task easier, you can download poedit from http://www.poedit.net/ which presents a nice interface to doing the translation.

Hi!.

I have the SPANISH translation almost ready. Where should I send it or post it?

There are only some lines (about 20) with no translation because I dont understand the meaning or usage of those texts.

Best regards.

Hello

Can you clarify is revision 2079 includes this file (french translation for customer module) - this revision has some typo in the french admin/messages.po - I am willing to correct this, but would not want to redo something done already !
