Hi,

My a2billing version is 1.3.4
I followed the installation doc for callback.
and also look thru this forum if any body got similar sittuation but quite not like me.
My pearl might be 5.8.8 not 5.6.1 as by installation doc

after running command of install Config::IniFiles from cpan
i get lot of message and finally it says

Failed 17/26 test scripts, 34.26% okay, 0/71 subtests failed, 100% ok ,
make : *** [test dynamic] error 2
/usr/bin/make test not ok
Running make install
make test had returned bad status , wont install without force

So after executing reload quit than

start command for callback-daemon says "unrecognized service"

I also dont understand even after it works all well than where i will make change
for CHKCONFIG : RUNLEVEL FILES where i need to check the priority of postgresql than change in the
callback-daemon.rc which looks like commented # chkconfig : 2345 80 80

Can any one give any suggestion first about the installation of config::inifiles and than start daemon?

Help is appreciated.

Unrecognized service is solved actually the script was not in right folder thats why it showed that message
now what it showing is must be cause of the config::inifiles is not installed properly and i wlready said it did not intalled
for some reason showing some error .

I have no problems running on Perl 5.8.8.
Prior to installation, Config::IniFiles tested itself on your system. 17 of the 26 tests failed, indicating Config::IniFiles is unlikely to work correctly on your system.
For what it's worth Config::IniFiles-2.52 passes all tests on my system, so it's not a problem with the test-cases themselves, but rather some issue with your system. I have no idea what the problem may be, but I'd start by cleaning all the Perl headers on your system.
Config::IniFiles failed to install; it's pointless continuing to the next step of the instructions until you have satisfied this requirement properly.

Could you please tell me than how will i clean up perl header?
I am searching also if i can make it work i will let you know.

On Gentoo I simply type 'perl-cleaner all' and wait a while. After a few moments googling, I couldn't find an equivalent tool for Fedora or Debian. You could try using h2ph manually. I'm really not sure this will make a difference to your situation though. Did Perl itself pass its test-cases when it installed?

I had to install Test::more also after that it works.

But now if i run service a2billing-callback-daemon start

nothing shows up. not even unrecognized service.
same with checking status
there must be something left doing with chkconfig runlevels as i did not follow anything here

init.d files what do i need to add?

install --owner=root --group=root --mode=700 a2billing-callback-daemon.rc /etc/rc.d/init.d/a2billing-callback-daemon

if i execute this command i get this message

cannot start 'a2billing-callback-daemon.rc' : No such file or directory
although in that directory there is .rc file exist

if i run chkconfig --add a2billing-callback-daemon && chkconfig a2billing-callback-daemon on

it says service a2billing-callback-daemon does not support chkconfig


I am missing soemthing soemwhere. But cannot figure it out
