Hi everybody,

I've read quite a lot of questions of people asking for a german translation for a2billing or even saying that they're working on it, but still, I haven't found anything...
So, if anybody has something in german for A2Billing (doesn't matter if it's incomplete), please post it here or pm me, I'll try to finish (or at least do some work on it), so we might finally get a more or less complete german locale for both, the Customer and the Admin UI.

Thanks and best regards,
Philipp

Hi

I used to think that this was really difficult, but then I had to do some translation work for freePBX, and following these instructions, it turned out to be relatively easy.

http://www.freepbx.org/trac/wiki/I18n

The instructions are included in the a2billing tar file, but here is a quick over view.

1. download poedit for windows
2. Get the .po file and edit it in poedit adding in the translations.
3. Create the .mo file in poedit simply by saving.
4. create a directory in the appropriate i18n directory, named with the code of the language you want to translate, the language codes for your system on Centos are to be found in /usr/share/locale/locale.alias
5. Create an LC_Messages directory under the language code.
6. Put your new .po and .mo files in this directory.
7. Give the language directory the same user, group and permissions as all the other language files
8. Restart apache.

There is also a line of code that you are going to have to add somewhere to make the language available in the Gui, maybe someone who knows the code will chime in here.

When you have a good translation, send it to Areski, and we can get it included.

Joe

Hi!

I would love to find German sounds for the a2billing IVR. Does any one have any of these?

Joe. Thanks for your answer. I was looking at westany web site. It looks very good. Do you know for sure their package includes the sounds for a2billing in all those languages?

Thanks again.

Hi

They have agreed to include A2Billing prompts, in all their future recordings, we provided them a list, I know they had a couple of recording sessions a couple of weeks ago, but I do not know which languages.

They are very approachable, so a quick email will confirm the status of recordings.

I have started yesterday with the german translation. Not sure how fast I will be since I'm quite busy but I could use it myself and if I can give something back to the community ... glad to help.
I have downloaded the English .po file and installed POedit and did a few translations already. As soon as it's a bit more I will send it to areski.

yes ... I also was wondering ... I rather though I would have to make the romanian translation and was surprised to find it's already present in a2billing :)

Joe.

I asked westany for a quotation and they are way too expensive, at least for me, I hope for now.

It would be great to have german promts included in a2billing like english and spanish promts.

:D

did you try a google search for sounds? I was successful ... but unfortunately I forgot where I downloaded them from so I don't know about the license.
I needed to modify some files to work but it's quite ok. Some sounds are still missing but I have most of what I needed.

We dont have the means to record professionally audio but if someone is willing to do the job or pay a studio for this,
we will be happy to add them to our package.

Cheers,
