Hi

for some reason, my hard disk keep filling up with nasty dump at /tmp/

core.3055 core.3872 core.4252 core.4611 core.4985 core.5376
core.3057 core.3878 core.4254 core.4613 core.4989 core.5380
core.3063 core.3883 core.4258 core.4617 core.4992 core.5383
core.3067 core.3885 core.4260 core.4619 core.4994 core.5385

i had to manually delete them to free the hard disk else a2billing will stop sending calls as the hard disk is full.

i did a file core.3055 and got the following

core.3109: ELF 32-bit LSB core file Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), SVR4-style, from 'a2billing.php'

a2billing has been running over few months and this is the first time i am seeing this.

is there a way to stop or reduce filling up my hard disk ?

rdgs

Ouch! Even if A2B is buggy it shouldn't be possible for it cause PHP to dump core, as appears to be happening. This is indicative of a problem with Linux installation, most likely with PHP, Asterisk or MySQL.

It's very likely that you're not storing CDRs or charging customers for the calls which dump core, so you really want to fix the root cause rather than mask it by disabling core dumps.

If you're technically minded you might make better progress with gdb.

Hi all,

I exactly have the same issue. I changed the Verbose level from 4 to 0 and then a2billing.php starts writting core files;

-rw------- 1 asterisk asterisk 8904704 Apr 16 23:31 core.9172
-rw------- 1 asterisk asterisk 8900608 Apr 16 23:32 core.9093
-rw------- 1 asterisk asterisk 8904704 Apr 16 23:32 core.9246
-rw------- 1 asterisk asterisk 8908800 Apr 16 23:33 core.9250
-rw------- 1 asterisk asterisk 8904704 Apr 16 23:33 core.9254
-rw------- 1 asterisk asterisk 8900608 Apr 16 23:33 core.9267
-rw------- 1 asterisk asterisk 8908800 Apr 16 23:33 core.9258
-rw------- 1 asterisk asterisk 8908800 Apr 16 23:34 core.9275
-rw------- 1 asterisk asterisk 8904704 Apr 16 23:34 core.9104

file core.9279
core.9279: ELF 32-bit LSB core file Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), SVR4-style, from 'a2billing.php'
[root@sentel tmp]# file core.9104
core.9104: ELF 32-bit LSB core file Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), SVR4-style, from 'a2billing.php'
[root@sentel tmp]# file core.9275
core.9275: ELF 32-bit LSB core file Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), SVR4-style, from 'a2billing.php'

This is critical for me as core files starts filling the hard disk. Is there any work around to fix this issue.

YOUR HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED

Best Regards
Senthil
