Hi,

I performed a fresh installation using the latest svn trunk version (1.4) and I managed to tune most of the things, but I am getting crazy with the BLOCKED ACCOUNT error.

The sign up process is running smooth, the accounts are being created in status "NEW", I am sending/receiving the confirmation mail, but it wouldn't let me login.

If I modify by hand the "activated" field in the database from "f" to "t", it works fine... but with the configuration I have it should do it automatically.

I may be overlooking something, or doing something wrong.

Any pointers are appreciated. Cheers,

Eduardo.

Even if you enter the wrong username or password, you will receive this message. You might want to check those.

Well, I saw a post explaining that, but there is no error on the User (card alias) or password.

In the customer screen I am manually setting the STATUS to 'ACTIVATED' and the SIGNUP CONFIRMATION to 'Yes'. Still, the 'activated' field in the corresponding entry of the cc_card table remains set to 'f'.

On the other hand, if I change the 'activated' field from 'f' to 't' straight in the database, it lets me in.

Is like if there is a missing step to switch this flag to 't' when manually introducing those changes in the admin interface.

Note that it works fine if the user is created using the signup interface. In that case, the customer account is created and the user can immediately have access to the customer interface.

Regards,

Eduardo

What do you mean by "In the customer screen I am manually setting the STATUS to 'ACTIVATED'". Did you bypass something in the customer interface's code? If so, well there is the source of your problems. If you want the new customer accounts activated by default, you have to set that up in a2billing.conf and every thing will be fine.

No, I didn't touch the code at all.

Let me put the scenario as follows:
1. You create a new customer using the CUSTOMERS-->Create Customer option.
2. You put some credit.
3. Initial status of the account appears like CANCELLED. You then set it to ACTIVE.
4. You set the SIGNUP CONFIRMATION to Yes.
5. CARDTYPE is set to PREPAID by default. That's ok.
6. You click on Confirm Data
7. Customer is created.
8. You go to the Customer interface and use newly created card alias and password.
9. Bang! BLOCKED ACCOUNT, Please contact your administrator!

Hope it helps to clarify the problem.

Eduardo.

You probably forgot to mentioned at what moment you have set a password for the newly created account. Did you set one?

Is it a production server or a testing server? If it's the latter, can we have access to it and see how I can help?

Thanks asiby,

I mentioned on step 8 that I am using the password created automatically when the customer is created.

System is a production one, but is just starting now. So traffic is not an issue yet. I can create an account for you to take a look on it, if you wish. What is the best way to get in touch with you off the Forum?

Eduardo

A2billing.config under SIGNUP MODULE enable the line that states ";specify whether the card is created as activated or pending
activated=no

Change activated=yes
