Looks to me like there's a typo in a2billing.conf.

The easiest way to fix it would be to apply xrg's changes which make the callback daemon report config file errors.

THANK YOU !!! :D

That is the answer I was looking for. When running that mod, I get:

Error: Line 184 in file /etc/asterisk/a2billing.conf is mal-formed:
Set the Paypal Email account.

I put my old a2billing.conf file from my other test system that was working and voila .. it works.
But my question is ... what the hell does the callback-daemon need with paypal e-mail account ??
:x

You're welcome! :up:
The callback daemon needs only a few configuration options, but the library used to parse the config file, quite correctly, demands the entire file be parsed without error.

It looks to me like the '#' or ';' preceeding a comment has been removed, such as:
Code:
# Set the Paypal Email account.
or
Code:
; Enable the paypal payment buttons - yes or no
paypal = yes
The error message you quoted tells you which line of the config file to look at to see the mistake.

You're a GENIUS with a crystal ball. I didn't realize the # Set the Paypal Email account. was any more than a comment to make reading the conf easier. I thought the [paypal] was the only actual important part. having that line read properly corrected my problem - MANY THANKS.
